Trucking Service Solution (“we”, “our”, “us”), operated by TRUCKING SERVICE SOLUTION INC, runs truckingservicesolution.com (“the Site”), a directory connecting truck drivers, dispatchers and fleet operators with trucking service businesses. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who helps us process it, and the choices you have. By using the Site you agree to the practices described below.
Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Business accounts. When you add a listing or ask to manage one we collect your name, e-mail address, business name, business phone and a password (stored only in coded, hashed form).
- Free driver and dispatcher accounts. When you create a free account we collect your e-mail address, whether you are a driver, a dispatcher or fleet, or other, and your first name if you give it. Your account is only created after you confirm the link we e-mail you; until then the request is kept in coded form and the link expires after 24 hours.
- Listing content. Business details you submit (address, hours, services, photos, descriptions), which appear publicly on the Site.
- Reviews and ratings. The text, star rating and the display name you choose when you write a review.
- Messages to businesses. When you send a message to a business through the Site we collect your name, e-mail address, phone number if you give it, and the message. The message is delivered to the business by e-mail and kept in the business account’s inbox on the Site; you receive a copy by e-mail. When the business replies, its reply is sent to your e-mail address.
- Saved shops and lists. If you are logged in, the businesses you save and the lists you make are stored in your account. If you are not logged in, they are stored only in your own browser. A share link contains the list name and the listings in it; anyone who has the link can see that list.
- Reports about a business. If you tell us a business is closed, has moved or is open again, we store your report and your e-mail address if you give it. Your IP address is stored only in coded (hashed) form, to spot repeated reports.
- Contact form submissions. Name, e-mail address and message sent through forms on the Site.
- Payment information. Card payments for paid plans and sponsored spots are processed by Stripe and PayPal payments by PayPal; your card number and PayPal login go directly to them and never reach our servers. We store the plan, the listing it is for, the amounts, dates and status of payments, the payment reference numbers from Stripe or PayPal, your receipts and invoices, and a record of your agreement at checkout (the text you agreed to, the date and time, and your IP address).
- E-mail news. If you subscribe to our news we store your e-mail address, the role you chose, the topics and how often you want to hear from us, and a record of your consent (date, time, the form you used and your IP address).
- Your location. The Near Me button uses your device’s location only when you tap it and your browser allows it. It is used to show businesses near you and is not stored with your name or account. Places you type in the search box are used for that search.
- Listing statistics. We count how often a listing is viewed and how often its phone, directions, website or save buttons are used, so the business can see its numbers. These are stored only as daily totals per listing. To avoid counting the same visitor twice, your IP address is used briefly and is not kept in the statistics.
- Technical data. IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages viewed and times, collected automatically by our web server, our security tools and Google Analytics.
- Cookies and similar technologies. See “Cookies and Tracking Technologies” below.
How We Use Information
- To operate the Site, create and maintain accounts, and publish listings.
- To deliver messages between drivers and businesses.
- To process paid plans and sponsored spots through our payment partners, send receipts, and remind you before a yearly plan renews or a PayPal year ends.
- To send account e-mails: confirmations, password links, listing notices (including requests to manage a listing), and messages. These are sent even if you have unsubscribed from news.
- To send the news and articles you asked for, if you subscribed.
- To show business owners how often their listing is viewed and contacted.
- To respond to questions you send us.
- To protect the Site against abuse, fraud, spam and unauthorised access.
- To understand how the Site is used and improve it, based on overall usage patterns.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Automated Spam Checks
To keep spam and fake accounts off the Site, new accounts, reviews, comments and messages are checked by automatic rules. Some of them are also checked by an AI service (Claude by Anthropic), which receives the text and the details needed to judge it, such as the name and the e-mail address. The AI only gives an opinion: messages that look like spam are held, and a person on our team decides whether content is removed or a held message is delivered.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies:
- Session cookies set by the website software to keep you signed in and remember preferences during your visit.
- Security cookies set by our firewall to detect and block suspicious activity.
- Functionality cookies and browser storage that remember things like your last search, map view, filters and saved shops on this device.
- Google Analytics cookies, which help us count visits and see which pages and buttons are used. Google receives your IP address and technical data under its own privacy policy.
- Google reCAPTCHA, which protects our forms from automated abuse and may set its own cookies.
- Stripe and PayPal set their own cookies on their payment pages.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the Site (signing in, saved shops and forms) may not work correctly without them.
Third-Party Services
We rely on a small set of service providers to operate the Site. Each works under its own privacy policy:
- Stripe and PayPal: payments.
- Google Maps: maps and place suggestions in the search box.
- Google reCAPTCHA: protection of forms.
- Google Analytics (through Google Site Kit): visit statistics.
- Microsoft 365: sending our e-mails.
- Anthropic: the AI part of our spam checks.
- Web firewall: protection against attacks and login abuse.
- DigitalOcean: our servers, database and stored images, in the United States.
User-Generated Content
Listings, reviews and comments you submit are public by design. Anything you publish on a listing or in a review can be seen by anyone visiting the Site and may be indexed by search engines. Do not include sensitive personal information in content you publish. Messages to businesses are not public: only the business and you receive them.
Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with advertisers. We share data only with:
- The business you send a message to: it receives your message and the contact details you entered, so it can answer you.
- The service providers listed above, only to operate the Site.
- Law enforcement or regulators when required by valid legal process.
- A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition or asset transfer.
Data Retention
Account and listing data are kept for as long as your account is active. Inactive accounts may be archived or deleted after 24 months of inactivity. Messages stay in the business account’s inbox until the business deletes them or its account is closed. Payment records (invoices, receipts, payment references and checkout agreements) are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. Unconfirmed account requests are not accounts and are deleted. If you unsubscribe from news, we keep only a coded (hashed) copy of your e-mail address so that we never contact it again by mistake. Contact-form submissions are kept for up to 12 months for support and abuse prevention.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your personal information (“right to be forgotten”).
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing relies on consent.
To use any of these rights, e-mail us at contact@truckingservicesolution.com. We answer within 30 days. You can change or stop news e-mails at any time with the link at the bottom of every news e-mail, and you can cancel a paid plan in your dashboard.
Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we learn that we have collected information from a child without parental consent, we will delete it.
International Data Transfers
The Site is run from servers in the United States. If you use the Site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored and processed in the United States or in any other country where we or our service providers have facilities. By using the Site you agree to this transfer.
Security
We protect your information with industry-standard measures: HTTPS encryption in transit, hashed and salted passwords, a web application firewall, limits on login attempts and form submissions, and limited access to our infrastructure. Card and PayPal details never reach our servers. No system is perfectly secure; we recommend a strong, unique password.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the Site. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always shows the most recent revision.

E-mail news and notifications
What we collect. When you subscribe to our news, we store your e-mail address, the role you chose (for example truck driver or business owner), the topics you selected, how often you want to hear from us, and a record of your consent (the date, time, the form you used and your IP address). If you subscribe while creating an account or asking to manage a listing, we link the subscription to that account or listing.
Why. We use this only to send you the news, articles and site updates you asked for. We do not sell or rent your address and we do not share it with advertisers.
Confirmation. When you subscribe through a form on our site we first send you a confirmation e-mail. You only receive news after you confirm.
Your choices. Every e-mail contains a link to your personal e-mail preferences page, where you can change topics, choose a weekly summary or each new article, pause, or unsubscribe from everything. Unsubscribing takes effect immediately. If you unsubscribe, we keep a coded (hashed) record of your address so that we never contact it again by mistake.
Business listings. If your business is listed in our directory with a public e-mail address, we may send that address a small number of e-mails about the listing (for example an invitation to manage it). You can stop these at any time with the link in the e-mail.
Account e-mails. Messages you need to use your account — such as a link to set your password or a notice that your request to manage a listing was approved — are sent even if you have unsubscribed from news.
Contact. Questions or requests to see or delete your data: contact@truckingservicesolution.com, Trucking Service Solution, 4545 137th Street, Crestwood IL 60418.
